Marconi Wireless Equipment
Source: McClure's Magazine, June, 1899, pages 99-112:
MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH - MESSAGES SENT AT WILL THROUGH SPACE.--TELEGRAPHING WITHOUT WIRES ACROSS THE ENGLISH CHANNEL.
BY CLEVELAND MOFFETT.
I love the description of messages traveling "THROUGH SPACE". Also do note the Spark Coil is clearly visible in the latter sketch.
Spark Coil
Some have said that if they had to describe the most technologically advanced piece of equipment that was sailing on the Titanic, it would have to be the Spark Coil. One of the most cutting edge pieces of equipment at the time, the Spark Coil formed the very core of the radio transmitter.

Welcome to the Marconi Wireless Room
My task is to draw a replica of the Marconi Wireless Room on board of the Titanic. This is a blog collecting all the links and information I find about early wireless telegraphs, including the science behind each piece of equipment, which I will also be writing about.
